The incident took place in Sullivan County in Monticello around 10 p.m. on Friday, May 5 at a home located at 15 Holmes St.
According to Lt. Mark Johnstone, of the Monticello Police Department, officers responded to the home after receiving a 911 report of shots fired.
When officers arrived they found three people who had sustained gunshot wounds including a 27-year-old man, a 20-year-old woman, and a 15-month-old.
The infant was flown by Medevac to the Westchester Medical Center where he is currently listed as being in critical, but stable condition, Johnstone said.
The man is listed as being in stable condition and the woman was treated and released, he added.
a preliminary investigation shows that multiple rounds appeared to have been intentionally fired from the outside and into the residence, Johnstone said.
No suspect information is available, he added.
The department is working in conjunction with the New York State Police in the investigation.
